It's official. All the characters sound EXACTLY THE SAME. There's like one or two exceptions, Inui being one of them and he just sounds like a douche, but everyone else is apparently being voiced by the same person. >.< *exaggerating* Poor Tachibana. And Kamio and Shinji both sound like typical snide, evil-ish sort of characters at times. Or at least that's the vibe I got from them.

Biggest WTF moment though - calling Fuji's tsubame gaeshi...THE TRIPLE COUNTER.

akjdjhfklasfd. WTF IS THAT? It is not THE triple counter, it is A triple counter, AND THERE ARE TWO MORE OF THEM. Well, three more, technically, but we'll not confuse the poor translators with there being four of something named "triple". Their heads might explode.

I laugh every time they say 'Fudomine'. It's not even that they're saying it completely wrong, it just...sounds ridiculous when they say it. They over-pronounce it, I guess. Oy.

Wave surge. ROFL. Oh goodness.

And...Kamio. Again, how do they mess up the easy names? How hard is it to say Kamio normally?

Le sigh.

BUT. SQUEE-FILLED MOMENT when Taka-san called Fuji 'Fujiko'! jkesheksfajsdf. ^___________^ At least they kept that in.

I forgot that I don't really care about Fudomine. I like them in the rest of the series, like when they have guest appearances or whatever (<33333 Shinji and Kamio especially), but I could care less about what the poor ickle second years had to go through to form a tennis team. >.> *is a cruel, cruel person*

Atobe shows up in episode 22. Seven weeks, if they don't skip a week again. Not that I'm counting down or anything... ^.~ And that coincides with the thief/Kaidoh episode, and the Karupin episode is soon after that, and then we'll be getting into St. Rudolph stuff. *_________* So at the rate they're going, I estimate we'll see Mizuki maybe by Otakon next year. >.> rofl.

Yay, finally getting to some interesting stuff! Ha, well, interesting in this case means Inui Juice, but at least we're done with the ranking matches. Ah, and it's not Inui Juice, it's Vegetable Juice. Whatev.

Overall, they did a pretty good job with it. Unfortunately, a lot of the characters' voices sound the same, lol. ^^;; So my only real complaints this time are basically the same as last time, and they're not going to change.

Inui's voice still sucks.

They're definitely sticking with first names.

Eiji was funny this time around, though. ^.^ And Momo, too. And we didn't get to hear much of Kawamura's BURNING-ness, but it looks like they'll be able to pull it off.

Man, how are we only on episode 9?? Hurry up, already!!


P.S. lol, it sounds funny just hearing "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" when you're used to "FIGHT-O! FIGHT-O!" :DDD

Finally watched episode 7.

What. The. Crap.

They're going to stick with first names, aren't they? *pouts* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! SO NOT COOL!!!!!

Though at least it sounds like they're pronouncing Syusuke and Shuichiro right, because I don't know that the hell they did to Kaidoh's first name. O_o

I really like Horio's voice now. =D Fuji...rofl. I dunno, I like it too for some reason. It's completely Not Fuji-ish, but oh well.

Does anyone remember how long they were in the grey shorts for? Because YUCK. =P

Ha, I'd forgotten how freaking creepy Kaidoh is at the beginning of the show! You know what? Thank God he stopped doing that slouched over walk thing. And the green bandana is waaaay better than the orange. ♥ Kaidoh. ^.^

...And what's with the grey tennis shorts? I completely forgot they used to be like that!

lol, I think I'm using this whole dub thing as an excuse to watch the entire series over again. ^.~ Now if only they could skip straight to the first tournament or something. Things are much more fun when Ryoma is actually on the team.

Still don't like Inui's voice. At all. But the rest I'm okay with, I guess. Except we still haven't heard Taka...

They were playing Kyou Kara Maou at the Anime Insider booth in the vendor's room at Otakon on Saturday, and I was surprised that they actually used a female voice actor for Wolfram! Isn't that cool?? They didn't try to make him all masculine or whatever! Whoever was voicing him sounded like she was trying way too hard, though. But still! Coolness!

Speaking of Otakon, I need to make a post about it. Good times, man! Got some awesome new art, too. ^.^ And I got to see Snoy again! And I briefly met garlandgraves and kittenfaced, which was way cool. But yes, will make a post with pictures of what I bought later! Spent way too much money, omg.

Holy crap. OMFG.

Have only watched about three minutes so far, and...well... It's not terrible, lol. I just...am bad at dealing with it. Heh.

ETA 2: Ok, I actually don't hate the voices. I mean, it could have been way, way worse. In fact, the only voice I really can't stand at the moment is Sakuno's, because it sounds really fake. I dunno, it sounds like an older woman trying to voice a child, which it probably is, but you shouldn't be able to notice that, you know? Ah well. Even if it was frickin awful, you know I'd still watch every single new episode. ^.~ And on the Toonami Jetstream website, too. OMG, IF YOU CAN, WATCH IT AT THE SITE!! THEY NEED TO KNOW IT'S POPULAR SO THAT THEY KEEP PUTTING OUT EPISODES!!! WE NEED A DVD RELEASE OVER HERE!!
