more of the dub

oioygpoay sdgpiuauy hdgljka hdfkja hdfkjas dhf IF THEY KEEP CALLING INUI "SADAHARU" I WILL THROW MY COMPUTER OUT THE WINDOW!!!!

Maybe it's just the underclassmen, though, because the other Regulars were calling him "Inui" in the previous episodes.

Other than that...

I love Nanjiroh, lol. And Inoue is such a dork. And I'd forgotten how much of a main character Sakuno was in the early episodes. >_< She still annoys me to no end. Argh.

Ryoma's voice actor is getting better and better, as is Horio's and Momo's. I'm even getting used to Inui's voice, heh.

I want the first tournament to hurry up and get here! I wanna hear all of Fudomine's voices!! St. Rudolph's, too, but that's like half a year away. ^^;; Don't even get me started on the Hyotei matches...

Yeah, I'm totally getting used to the voices too, I think Horio's is rather fitting...and kinda catchy....lol

I agree! I'm almost tempted to say his voice is my favorite so far, heh.

I lost them in the woods somewhere. >_< Having more and more trouble finding them these days...

OH NO THEY AREN'T. Dear dubbers, flagpole. 4pm. It's on. >:/

I wonder what they'll do with Shinji's mumbling. :))

I KNOW, IT'S LIKE A SIN AGAINST HUMANITY OR SOMETHING.

lol, Shinji. God, I wish they could just skip to that. ^.^

Well I must admit I come here for the H/D ^_^ but all of this anime/manga talk has me very curious. Can you direct me to where ever it is that you read/watch this stuff? and maybe tell me a few that you like the best? And also since I am a HUGE H/D fan I'm obviously a HUGE fan of slash, are there any slash mangas or animes? I know it's a lot to ask for but hey- Harry Potter's almost over! I'm gonna need something else to obsess over! :D

[identity profile] maxine-chan.livejournal.com 2006-08-26 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, wherever I read/watch it? lol, there's a looooot of places. On the reading side, I buy most of my manga, so I can't really help you out there. But you can go to almost any Barnes and Nobles and read something there without buying it. Like Ouran High School Host Club or Death Note. Those would be two good series to start with. As for anime, you can get it from almost any bittorrent site out there. TorrentSpy, for example. And there's a millions series to watch, lol. Prince of Tennis is the one I've been obsessing over lately. And Hikaru no Go is reeeaaally good. And so is Ouran High School Host Club, again.

Hmmm, there are slash mangas and animes. Or the more correct term on this side of the coin is yaoi. ^.~ But it's pretty much like with Harry Potter - a lot of it's behind the scenes, fandom only, if you know what I mean. They give you sooooo much subtext and stuff to work with though, they definitely make it easy for you! But an actual yaoi series that I just finished buying is called "Yellow." It's a manga, so they may or may not have it at B&N. The one near me doesn't have it, but I've seen it at other. It's only four volumes long, and I really liked it. Um, let's see... Kyou Kara Maou is an anime where the leading male character actually finds himself engaged to another male character as early as the second episode. There's 78 episodes total, and while that's not what the series is about, per se, I still really liked the show. The engagement is more of a running gag, but it was really cute.

Gah, this comment is probably so not helpful. Let me get some links together and I'll comment again!

Ok. Here's some of the anime I've been watching lately and where you can find it:

Ouran High School Host Club

Kyou Kara Maou - Season 1 and Season 2 (scroll down the page)

Hikaru no Go

Prince of Tennis - these are bittorrent episodes. I know an LJ community that has everything you can dream of PoT-wise uploaded in Megaupload format, if you'd rather that. Just let me know, because it's one of those SOOPER SEKRIT hush hush kind of things. ^.~

Bleach

Kamen Rider Kabuto!!! (scroll down the page until you see it) - lol, this isn't an anime or even a manga. It's a live-action show that's really popular in Japan. Well, Kamen Rider itself has been ongoing for 35 years, but Kabuto just started this year. There's something like 16 different series, I think. Anyhoo, it's very reminiscent of Power Rangers, but the characters are awesome and the guys are hot and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I'm trying to pimp it, because not a lot of people on my flist watch it. ^.~ So by all means, don't feel obligated, lol.

Umm...well, that should get you started! There are other shows that are a couple years older that I used to watch, but they're still REALLY good, like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and

Then on the manga side (these aren't download links, just links to info sites), I have:

Ouran High School Host Club

Hana-Kimi

Death Note (highly, highly recommend! SO GOOD!)

Fruits Basket

Gravitation (omg, how could I forget this one! It's yaoi - well, actually it's shounen ai, which means 'not quite as explicit, but definitely still boy-on-boy'. It's an anime too, but the manga is SO FUNNY. I love it. Definitely check this out!)

FAKE (also yaoi, and very, very good!!)

And then the one I mentioned before, Yellow. I actually ordered this one rather than buying it, but who knows, maybe a bookstore near you has it? ^.^

Phew! Ok, there you go! If none of this stuff interests you, that's perfectly fine, too. Anime is an awesome thing, but I know it's not for everybody. ^.~ Seriously though, next time you're in a Barnes and Noble or something, wander over to the Graphic Novels section. It's grown about three times in size sense I became a fan! Check out some of those titles and see what you think!

Aack, I messed up one of the links. >_< Where it says this:

"Then on the manga side (these aren't download links, just links to info sites), I have:"

That's not supposed to be a link. In the paragraph before, it was supposed to say:

"Umm...well, that should get you started! There are other shows that are a couple years older that I used to watch, but they're still REALLY good, like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and Gundam Wing."

Whoops!

Wow, thanks! This helps a lot. Very nice of you to help me out ^_^
