So yes. Recs. Some of you may have read a lot of these already, but when it comes to finding fic outside of livejournal, I get lazy. ^^;; tikaima recced these to me recently, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Who can say no to LONG Tenipuri fics??

Anyhoo, these are by Miko no da miko_no_da (because apparently she is on LJ! =P), and I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure I'd enjoy them. She writes the characters somewhat differently from what I'm used to reading, and it took me a couple of chapters to get used to it. But she is a very talented writer and an excellent story teller, and her take on the characters, while not quite what I'm used to, definitely isn't what I would call OOC, so I was hooked in no time. ^.^

Um. So basically anything on this page is good. =P But in particular:

- Jealousy - (Shishido/Ohtori) The first one I read and it's REALLY good. A different take on Silver Pair, and it made me completely fall in love with how she writes Ohtori.

- Facing Your Demons - (Kirihara/Kamio!!) I secretly ship this pairing and have found virtually nothing written for them, so this fic was all sorts of awesome. Really, really enjoyed it, and it definitely had an interesting premise!

- Under the Mask (Atobe/Ohtori) Yeah, you read that right. It's still a WIP, but OMG. I've never read Atobe/Ohtori before, but she makes it work and I so cannot wait for the next chapter! I'm craving more of this pairing now!

The one-shots on the page are good, too, like, Kissing Lessons (Atobe/Jiroh) and Sleep Sweet (fluff fluff fluff!), but I haven't gotten a chance to read through everything yet.

Anyway, so if you're looking for something to read and you're up for new pairings, definitely check those out. The way I figure, in Prince of Tennis, any two characters who are on the same team, who have played each other, whose teams have played each other, who were ever even in the same scene, or if they both went to the Senbatsu camp, then they're fair game to be paired up with each other. ^.~

And if you happen to be a fan of rare pairings and the like, then go read anything and everything by whisper132. She's the drabble queen and writes pretty much every pairing under the sun. =P Her Meddlers series is pure love. Actually, everything she writes is pure love. Just...GO. Go read. Seriously. You'll be entertained for hours.

Aaaaand if it's more long fics you're looking for, you can never go wrong with any of reposoir's works. She has talent like no one else, and a lot of you will probably recognize her from the Harry Potter fandom, too. Anyhoo, she has:

- Quicken to Silver - (Shishido/Ohtori) Still a WIP and easily the best Silver Pair fic I've ever read. She writes the slow and steady progression of a relationship absolutely perfectly.

- Might Be Found - (Renji/Kirihara) My other absolute favorite of hers, one of the many, many reasons being because Mizuki shows up, and I'm pathetically in love with anything Mizuki. ^^;; lol, but no, this is another fic showcasing her ability to bring a couple together beautifully and realistically, which is key.

Check out her other PoT fics too, as they are all awesome (especially if you're like me and have a secret love for gender!switch fics, because Hyotei Crack-uen and Fukubuchou Fucks Up. Heee. And while I'm at it, ver2frog's Toastette. XDDD).

H'okay, so that's a lot of what I've been reading lately in the Tenipuri fandom. Not everything, obviously, but there are a ton more fics in my memories if you want to look. Erm. Though they need to be updated like whoa. I think I've got about thirty more fics to add... ^.~

Ooh, I've read those long ones just recently. She has an lj! miko_no_da. I was going to write up a post about them, but I hate making qualified recs, and they'd kind of have to be qualified for me, because there are a few things in them that tend to bother me -- the boyfriendy/soulmatey stuff, the emphasis on buttsex as the only kind of sex, and a few too many epithets. But I will love this author forever for Ohtori's completely awkward, unsexy, just-plain-wrong first time in Jealousy, not to mention that I have a thing for realistic coming-out (or realising-you're-gay) stories. Also, I am addicted to the frostbite!Ohtori one, and can't wait for an update :))

Oh thank God, she does have an LJ!! I was going to go look arund for it, lol. Does she update her fics on there, too?

I do agree that there are some things that bother me a bit - mostly the somewhat abrupt endings to both the Silver Pair and the Kirihara/Kamio one. lol, but it's hard to end fics sometimes and mostly I just wanted them to keep going forever and ever and ever. ^.^ As for the sex thing, it would have bothered me more had Ohtori not had such an awful first time, because then reading about it being so much better with Shishido just had me grinning the whole time. And that Shishido got all his facts from Atobe - just - osg foaidu giad hfakjs dfhasdf. LOVE. And yes, Under the Mask is quickly turning out to be my favorite of the three. *_* SO GOOD. With Atobe and his leg and saving Ohtori and it was so cute!!!

Gah. I'm babbling. Yes, anyway, I don't normally make recs either! Especially for Tenipuri, because there's so many amazing one-shots out there that my journal would be nothing but rec after rec after rec (though your 'Are You There, Karupin? It's Me, Kaidoh' deserves a post of its own, because it's seriously one of the best PoT fics I've ever read). But I figured I could make an exception for some decent novel length fics (again, I agree with the realistic coming-out bit!), because those are a bit harder to come by. ^.~

Intense!! Yes! That's a really good way to describe it! And I know exactly what you mean. One minute I was wondering if I'd be able to finish reading it, and then the next minute was really like two hours later and I was sucked in and couldn't tear my eyes away. ^.~
