I could be wrong, but in Tenipuri manga-based canon, Ryoma never actually beats Tezuka, right? They only have that one all-important match, and then to date they haven't played again? Am curious for ficcing purposes. ^.~

Speaking of fics, I have some recs for y'all later, but I'm going to be late to class if I don't leave now. =P

I believe that is correct. I only recall one manga match and Tezbot won.

The whole Pillar stuff seems much more in the anime than the manga. Personally, I like that, because I'm as happy as a clam when Konomi takes time to focus more on other schools and backstories.

Yeah, I definitely feel like they built up the whole Tezuka/Ryoma vibe in general more in the anime than in the manga. Which...blah, TezuRyo. >_<

So agree on the other schools bit! PoT wouldn't be half as entertaining if there wasn't as much focus as there is on the other teams. ^.^
